Students in Grades 4-6th can hone their leadership skills in student government while planning school dress-up days, leading flag deck, implementing the Pyramid to Success, and hosting the Spring Carnival through Team Kids. Because the focus is on defining leadership and helping students develop leadership in a variety of settings, Harbor View does not run whole school student elections. Rather, students interested in participating in student government fill out an application and obtain a letter of recommendation. Student interested in a leadership position must also undergo an interview with a panel of teachers and the principal. Any interested student should see Mr. Pryde, Harbor View’s student council advisor!
